Biography

Aiko Tezuka explores weaving and unraveling as a way to understand interwoven surfaces. While referencing and appropriating cultural objects Tezuka reconfigures the fabric of things oscillating between the process of deconstruction and construction. Her works make visible an object’s current state of being while simultaneously detangling its proceeding states of metamorphosis.
